WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us: when you request a quote, apply for licensing, or book a move, we collect details such as your name, phone number, email address, moving-from and moving-to addresses, move date, home size, and anything you include in your message, and the messages you type into our website chat.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, we may collect standard technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed — through cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics where enabled.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to respond to your quote request and provide estimates; to schedule, perform, and follow up on your move; to route your request to the Affordable Movers team that serves your area; to process purchases from our shop; to improve our website and services; and to comply with legal obligations.
By submitting a quote or booking request, you agree that we and the local team serving your area may contact you about your move by phone, text message, and email. Message and data rates may apply to texts, and you can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share your information with: the locally owned Affordable Movers team (corporate or licensee) that serves your area, so it can quote and perform your move; service providers that help us operate — scheduling and booking software, email delivery, an AI provider that powers our website chat, analytics, and website hosting — under obligations to protect your information; and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
WEBSITE CHAT ASSISTANT
Our website chat is an automated AI assistant, not a person. It answers general questions about our services, prices and moving tips. To produce an answer, what you type in the chat, along with the earlier messages in that conversation, is sent to our AI service provider, Anthropic. Anthropic processes it on our behalf to generate the reply. We do not save chat conversations on our website.
If you ask for a call back from the chat, we collect your name, phone number and moving-from address, plus any note you add. We save these with a copy of your chat so far, and share them with the local Affordable Movers team that serves your area and with our scheduling software, so the team knows what you asked about when they call.
Please don't enter payment details, passwords or other sensitive information in the chat. The assistant's answers can be wrong. Your local office confirms every quote, price and date.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and, where enabled, to measure how visitors use it and how our advertising performs. You can control cookies through your browser settings; where your state's law provides an opt-out of targeted advertising, you can exercise it by contacting us.
